You are warmly invited to join us for the next session of our critical theory seminar, “Causeries Critiques.” Our guest speaker for the day will be Maureen Winter, a PhD candidate from Northwestern University, who will be discussing Giorgio Agamben’s “Notes on Gesture”, at the crossroads between ethics and aesthetics, poetry and the visual arts, cultural studies and Deleuzian thoughts. We will be looking at the following text: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5trarn63ig6wsfd/AACKj2-ZZ5NPsNNfOvvA0vDYa?dl=0 .
The seminar will take place on Friday, February 7th from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon, in the Salle de Formation of the Maison de la Recherche (Paris 3), located 4, rue des Irlandais, 75005 Paris. For this international session, the discussion will be held in English.
NB: The “Causeries Critiques” seminar is now part of the doctoral training course catalogue. We regularly invite francophone and anglophone participants to present the subject and theoretical background of their current research, in order to build a collaborative cartography of contemporary critical theory.
We hope to see many of you there!
The Causeries Critiques committee.
